World’s first Billion dollar home in Mumbai, INDIA

The world’s most expensive home is complete and the owner of this marvelous place is India’s wealthiest man, oil and retail mogul Mukesh Ambani. Recently he has moved into his 27-story tower block with his wife and three children.  Yeah. That’s right; His house has 27 floors. It’s pretty audacious, especially in a country already famous for its stark division between rich and poor. Mr. Ambani made a great contribution to make India’s economy healthier by creating 600 jobs in his home building. Maybe that’s the ticket to solving the U.S. unemployment crisis…

It is difficult to know what to call it. It is far too big and grand to call it a house, the fact that it has more floor space than the palace of Versailles and 600 staff would ordinarily make it a castle, or Mansion, but can you call a skyscraper a mansion?

The family quarters are understandably on the top floors, where they enjoy an incredible view across Mumbai and the Arabian Sea. Experts say there is no other private property of comparable size and prominence in the world.

So what is it like on the inside? The home contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, a swimming pool, a ballroom, guestrooms, a variety of lounges, and a 50-seater cinema. Three helicopter pads have been installed on the roof, and a car park for 160 vehicles sits on the ground floor. Clearly more space than a housekeeper, or full hotel staff can handle, Antilia is currently the biggest and most impressive family home in the world.
